Terri Schiavo did not starve to death. She succumbed to dehydration. When or if you are in the unfortunate situation where you must converse with one of these pigs....do not let them carry on with their starvation crap. Slap them in the face with the truth and stand firm.
On the other hand, their imbecile leader signed into law in Texas, a law that resulted in the asphyxiation of a 6 month-old baby named Sun Hudson purely over financial issues. Another point is that Sun was a black child. Make that distinction....make the facts sting and then spit in their face. These people derserve absolutely no respect.

Basically, the chimpman intervened on Terri's behalf, ignoring human and State's rights and, murdered a baby by enacting a law, ignoring human rights.

"W" will be stacking the deck against civil liberties

The Constitution is not safe from the criminals of the right in Washington. Constitutional violations require an immediate prosecution and should always, upon conviction, come with the death penalty. The criminal organization in Washington would be a little more apprehensive were these rules in place.


Resident Bush in his second term “absolutely” would push for a constitutional amendment that says marriage consists only of the union of a man and a woman, White House political adviser Karl Rove said.

Bush believes states can deal with the issue of civil unions between gay people, an arrangement that if enacted would grant same-sex partners most or all the rights available to married couples, Rove said on “Fox News Sunday.”

But a national ban on same-sex marriage is the only way to make sure “activist judges” don’t redefine marriage, he said.

As for the Supreme Court, Rove said Bush would nominate only judges who would “strictly apply the law, strictly interpret the Constitution” from the bench.

How Germans Fell for the 'Feel-Good' Fuehrer

A well-respected German historian has a radical new theory to explain a nagging question: Why did average Germans so heartily support the Nazis and Third Reich? Hitler, says Goetz Aly, was a "feel good dictator," a leader who not only made Germans feel important, but also made sure they were well cared-for by the state.

To do so, he gave them huge tax breaks and introduced social benefits that even today anchor the society. He also ensured that even in the last days of the war not a single German went hungry. Despite near-constant warfare, never once during his 12 years in power did Hitler raise taxes for working class people. He also -- in great contrast to World War I -- particularly pampered soldiers and their families, offering them more than double the salaries and benefits that American and British families received. As such, most Germans saw Nazism as a "warm-hearted" protector, says Aly, author of the new book "Hitler's People's State: Robbery, Racial War and National Socialism" and currently a guest lecturer at the University of Frankfurt. They were only too happy to overlook the Third Reich's unsavory, murderous side.

Pushing the Backlash and Exposing Hypocrisy

Some reports say there could be a backlash on the chimp because of his hypocritical grandstanding on the Schiavo issue. We, as liberal bloggers, need to make damn sure that a backlash occurs.

In the clear political maneuvering of the Schiavo issue, House republicans used a woman as a pawn to push their psuedo-morality smokescreen but, with little effect. Even the wackos on the christian right saw through the smoke and overwhelmingly agreed that the government should not interject itself into the personal affair. The religious people got a first-hand look into what the true republican party is about; intrusion into personal affairs, the use of disabled people as props for their commercialization and blatant waste of taxpayer revenue to push clearly illegitimate policy.

Another important point of the Schiavo charade, to House republicans, was the diversion away from the House majority leader, Tom Delay. Delay pushed the Schiavo issue with the help of the chimp and his gang of cowards in an attempt to strengthen his image in the face of major criminal investigations into campaign finance law violations.

Another blatant and immoral act was that of Senate majority leader Bill Frist. Frist, another despicable republican, tried to interject his medical opinion about Terri Schiavo after watching a short video of her. Not only is that a sign of a quack, Frist's actions in the government are deserving of skepticism due to his use of conjecture and, Frist should be the poster boy of why medical malpractice tort reform should not be changed. Frist's medical opinion would be akin to a proctologist advising a neurologist about brain surgery.

The hypocrisy is the main issue that we, as bloggers, must expose to the public. The hypocrisy, although just another example of the right-wing agenda, is the Texas Futile Care Law, which was signed into law by none other that the chimp himself in 1999. This law, in keeping to promises made to corporations, has a provision for ending life support if the patient can no longer meet financial obligations as, a determining criteria.

For whatever it is worth, Americans are beginning to see through the charade of the criminal enterprise occupying the American government. Send the message forth that no longer will we, as Americans, sit idly by and watch the actions of cowards.

I think, wryly, that the Germans, too, were thus driven mad by Hitler’s propaganda lies. At Nuremberg, not the least of the Nazi crimes under indictment were the crimes perpetrated against the German people’s conscience by driving them insane with lies—crimes that in the view of the American prosecutors were perhaps the most serious of all. Hans Fritzsche, a senior official in Goebbels’ Ministry of Propaganda and Folk Enlightenment, answered thus when interrogated at Nuremberg on whether his office had manufactured hatred against the people of the USSR in order to make the Soviet Union a German colony: “Yes. I organized German propaganda in such a way as to inflame hatred of the German people . . . for the people of the USSR.”

An article in one of the better publications I subscribe to, The Nation, addresses the issue of women in journalism and the reasons they may be underrepresented. I specifically want to address the remark above made by gaanjah_mama.

First, relative to Liberal Patriots and myself, I am the only male contributor on this blog. Sorry, gaanjah_mama, I just don't actively prowl the blogosphere looking for gender-based blogs. I look for blogs that are interesting...our links cover a variety of gender, racial, sexual, political (with the exception of right-wing), social, environmental and international bloggers. Rarely do I read the profile of a blogger before I link to them. It doesn't matter who they are, where they live, how they live, what they eat or don't eat, etc. The main criteria is that the links on this blog (and there will be more as time goes on) share in the same concerns and issues. Heck, they don't even have to agree 100% with us or us with them. The point is...we have a common goal of defending America against the right-wing republican corruption and all the derogatory issues that always come with their rule.

I can only speak for myself, gaanjah_mama, and I have this to say: I will not categorize blogs (think entropy) by any of the aforementioned criteria. It is not important to do so. What is important is to read the blogs, understand where the blogger is coming from on issues and seek alternative means of approaching issues that appeal to you.

And gaanjah_mama, because of my familiarity with the blogs we have linked and without checking profiles I know of at least 24 blogs that are owned by women or that, have women contributors. And in about 3 minutes I am adding the link to another woman's blog who, happens to be a consistent poster and has just started her own blog (she also happens to be a very intelligent 18 year-old woman).

So rest assured gaanjah_mama, Liberal Patriots only disqualifying factor is right-wing links.

The Schiavo Battle is Diversionary for GOP Terrorists

I first need to address my stance on this issue. If Terri Schiavo is to be euthanized then, do not starve her to death for chrissakes. Utilize an injection to make it as quick as possible in case, she does feel pain. That being said other issues about war, finance and further degradation of America are taking place at the hands of America's terrorist regime out of sight of the American people.

The Schiavo debacle is a sad issue but, we must maintain our vigilance and awareness with respect to the criminal regime. First, an undeclared arms race is at hand and a recent Pentagon document outlines the neo-con terrorist's plan of action. Americans must inform our friends around the world of the impending terrorist activities by America's regime and gain their help, support and resistance to these impending atrocities. For example, Japan was recently asked to lift the ban on American beef that was put in place because of the mad cow disease. We need the Japanese to continue their boycott as it helps contribute further to the economic disaster that the regime has elicited on America. This may sound extreme but, we must contribute to the regime's demise or, in other words I will use a quote from the film, Full Metal Jacket, "It's a huge shit sandwich and we are all gonna have to take a bite."

Now, we all must not forget another important issue. The issue of corruption and Tom Delay. Delay's probable illegal campaign contributions and corporate unaccountibility must not ever rest. It is crucial that the corruption of corporate-backed criminals continually be exposed as well as, the republican party's assistance in covering it up. Rest assured that Delay will not give up the Schiavo fight...it keeps the eye off him.

There were massive protests all around the world to day against America's terror regime. America's mainstream media claims only a few thousand protestors were in the streets of America. Britain, Europe and South America all had massive protests also.

More attacks on US soldiers took place today. This is something the mainstream media could care less about reporting on. This relates to the hypocrisy of America's criminal regime...soldiers are far less important than a woman in a vegetative state to these despicable people, not that Terri Schiavo is unimportant.

It is of utmost importance that we keep our eyes on the ball, so-to-speak, so that the criminals of the right-wing, the world's terrorists always feel the piercing gazes of real Americans and their friends around the world.

The media in America has duped about 51% of American's into believing America is the world's leader. The manipulation of media in America by an appointed regime only furthers the ignorance of many Americans. On the other hand, when media is viewed from other areas of the world, a more honest interpretation of world events unfolds.

Among other actions around the world, specifically America, is the regime's attempts to cease the free will of bloggers. With the resources available it is affordable and relevant to investigate actions or histories of people and their actions. This brings to light the many facets of the bush regime and the fraud and fallacies it portrays. These actions by the anti-American right is another symptom of the illness that plagues America.

America's leadership record, since 2001, has seen an abysmal failure and continues to fail people and countries around the globe. In order for America to lead she needs a leader. We don't have one instead, we have a war-monger, criminal and liar who is hellbent on furthering corporatism and stuffing the coffers of campaign donors.

Corrupt officials of the right-wing regime relish in the thought of environmental degradation, anti-constitutional and un-American values, based on lies and propaganda. Who, with a sane and rational mind, would want the likes of Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, Bolton, Chertoff, Hastert, Frist or any of the other anti-American terrorists as leaders of the world? Definitely not the world or those of sound mind. Not only should these people not rule, or be representative of America, they should be occupying space in the Spandau prison awaiting a long walk off the short pier....The world would be a better place for it.

America, in order to lead, must set an example of a superb human rights record. Currently, America's human rights record is in a tailspin. Torture, prison abuse, discrimination, social injustice, corruption and democide abound as a result of the squatters in the Whitehouse.

America's regime feels it's weakness. It can only lead by fear, deceit and hypocritical propaganda. Other countries have rebutted the propaganda and are speaking out against it. America's occupiers lack knowledge of other culture, creating crisis after crisis.

America doesn't deserve to lead and doesn't need to lead. America needs to fix itself, to end the occupation of Iraq and answer the questions that the 5,500 AWOL soldiers have to ask. Answer why soldiers are digging and filling mass graves as pointed out by Sgt. Kevin Benderman. As a soldier of 10 years, Sgt. Benderman outlines the atrocities being committed by America everyday in Iraq and has chosen to claim conscientious objector status instead of returning to carry out the crimes of America's criminal regime. The AWOL rate in the American military is growing and the reasons why are becoming more apparent as soldiers speak out about the actions of the military elite.

Experience in life is something no one should disregard. When a holocaust survivor leaves America for his homeland of Germany and explains why he is doing so, people need to pay attention. His experience in life, under Adolph Hitler, brings about the truth and links to a modern day Hitler. Or a Russian immigrant who worries about the failing policies of America he can relate to the fall of Russia in the 1980's.

America is being attacked from within by a domestic right-wing enemy... admit to it, plan against it and rally to defeat it, in the name of America before, the outrage towards this occupation of America by her domestic enemy consumes her. Until she heals, America cannot lead.

America, however, will overcome her illness and regain her strength but, only after the hideous criminals occupying her government are gone. The actions of the regime have set in motion the demise of the republican party.

Awareness by Americans will be America's cure. Already, scores of unlikely advocates of regime change from left and right are consolidating sources to stop the government terrorism. As the regime continues to become more transparent it will no longer be able to control the media distortion and awareness will become more prevalent thus, squelching the insidious nature of this regime.

America will moderate, conservatism will die as it always does and liberalism will guide America like it has since her inception and we will be a great nation once again.

According to translation of the statement posted at the Venezuela Analysis website, it begins by declaring: “As it was done in the past to Guatemala, the Dominican Republic, Chile, Grenada, and Haiti, the government of the United States today targets the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela with all its media and propaganda power. I read this entry on my favorite message board about a Russian immigrant and how he sees the impending doom in America. The story is posted on a great blog called, Life in Bush's America. Stop by and see what else Marq has posted there.

A co worker of mine just left my office. He is the kind of guy that often will tell you stories of things past. Sometimes at very inopportune times, but stories none the less. He is also from Russia. Speaks with a heavy Russian accent, and is named Yuri.

So, he is in my office, and he says to me, “You know Marq, I am scared at what is the goings on right now”. So I probe.

He tells me that back home, before the fall of communism, everything seemed fine, and then one day, there was something in the air just not right, and soon it was all over.

Now, from our perspective, that was good, but not from his. He continued. 2 Days later he lost his job, the banks told him that his money was gone, and the services were gone. I have learned from him in the past conversations with him, that we were feed a lot of BS about Russia as a whole, as they were about us. He has told me that regardless of what we were taught, the average Russian was doing fine, not great, but fine.

He said a few days before the fall, his mother was cooking bread, she was wrapping it up tight, and putting it away. She told him, that her mother (His Grandmother) almost starved to death during WWII, and she was not going to let that happen to her family. After the fall, they ate bread for 2 months…

So back to my point, he said to me, “I smell in the air here what I smelt there, and I am scared. Bush is leading us to a fall”, I am stunned… then he says this to me, “I called my mom on Sunday, and asked her what she was doing, she lives in Florida, she told me she was making bread…”

Damn it was chilling…

He is a very smart man, he also is a VERY proud American, and he more than anyone I know, knows the feeling of a nation collapsing around you…

Why Won't Bush Intervene in Sudan?

Why is it the Bush Regime insists on creating crises all around the world but, won't intervene in Sudan on a human rights level? One can suspect it is another part of the racist right-wing agenda. The Bush puppet, Condi Rice, claims it is a high priority....then why the hell isn't something being done? Maybe they don't have enough oil.

The U.S. customs official’s voice dripped with contempt as he grilled my daughter at Toronto airport. Only minutes before, we had bade her a heartfelt farewell as she headed to Guatemala to study Spanish and do volunteer work, full of excitement.

The official scowled when Rosie told him she planned to spend four months in Guatemala. He told her to empty her carry-on bag, and examined every item carefully. A female officer frisked her from head to toe. This is how the United States welcomes an 18-year-old woman who wants to experience a developing nation.

Syria has 13,000 soldiers in Lebanon – impeding the burning desire of the Lebanese people to be free. "Freedom is on the march," thanks to all those people the U.S. military killed in Iraq, and we must act now to be sure that nothing stops the great march."

Syria is required so that, the Israelis have a clear road to Iran.

"According to the propaganda machine, the Syrian troops in Lebanon are a threat to democracy, and so the White House is demanding that Syria withdraw its troops immediately.

Meanwhile, the pro-Syrian government in Lebanon has left office, and the Lebanese people are cheering in the streets – demonstrating that they want nothing to do with Syria.

And there’s more: it’s common knowledge that the Syrians were behind the assassination of Rafiq Hariri, the ex-Prime Minister of Lebanon.

What Speaks Louder than Experience?

I learned most of what I know from old school tradesmen. I liked to listen to how difficult tasks that we take for granted today were much more complicated 50-60 years ago.

I was reading this blog, Justice for None, today and read this story about a German family moving back to Germany. Why?? Because the old timer has seen this happen before.

Nothing, in my opinion, speaks louder than the voice of experience.

Jim Gibbons: Another Idiot Winger

Yes..Congressscum Jim Gibbons of Nevada proves that conservative values and morals do not exist. We think these idiots on the right say some stupid stuff once in awhile but, they say it because it is actually the way they are. Dumb!! Just plain old stupid. There is no other explanation for it. Years of inbreeding by righties has lead to some terrible mutagenesis. Oh well, better them than us.

Let's take a look at this scumbag and see what he is about. We'll do a complete history on him. Note: This history will be updated by the other authors here so keep yourself informed. I'll give my diagnosis at the end.

Gibby served in the Air Force, one of the few republicans who could muster enough energy to sign their name to the form. (I wonder if he served with little george....He does have a nose that looks used and abused). He claims distinguished service but, it is unverified.

So...What did this fool say and do? How did he get elected and what did he promise? Luckily, this idiot is a major fuck up and says a lot of stupid shit. Let's take a look.

The Gibbster proclaims himself to be a tax crusader. He is in a way. He crusades for the tax cuts for the rich and resulting cuts in domestic programs. But, he campaigned on the idea that he was for tax relief for individuals and limiting government's ability to tax us. Well he lied. Looking at his votes for tax relief the only entity that benefited were the rich (go figure) and corporations. He voted against safeguards from corporate corruption, He voted for tax breaks for energy companies to rape wilderness areas and he voted against tax breaks for our soldiers. It is easy to see the trail of hypocrisy by Gibbons in the area of his promised tax cuts.

What else did the Gibbster promise?? He did present the bill to develop Homeland Security... The Federal Department that is used as a front for putting the burden of America's so-called war on terror onto the States. This way, the states have to raise taxes to fund the DHS and the republicans don't have to raise taxes in Washington!! Nice try Gibby but, we figured that one out long before you got your bill passed.

What about education? Gibby has a pee-poor record on this and votes against education initiatives 90% of the time. Yet he campaigns on putting education first. Yeah....right.

Let's look at one more. Healthcare. Gibby claims to want to make drugs affordable, healthcare cheaper...the typical crap of the right-wing. But, when it comes down to doing it...they don't. They vote against it because, the better bills are written by Democrats. They can't handle our superior intellect. They can't handle the truth. You can see Gibby's poor record here.

Now, the best part. Gibbster has a problem with sticking his foot in his mouth. Or maybe it's his fist in his ass; either way the outcome is the same.
The Gibby, at a recent terrorist gathering, said about liberals and Democrats:

"If they want to be human shields, I say let them serve the men and women of honest integrity that epitomize courage and embody the spirit of freedom by wearing the proud uniform of the United States military," Gibbons said.

"What greater love has man than he lays down his life for his friend - or in this case, his country," Gibbons said in conclusion."

As one can see, Gibby has a mental block or, maybe, a momentary bout with Alzheimer's or, could it be drug induced?? More on that later.. He has forgotten who his leaders are...his leaders who are the most cowardly and despicable bunch of punks to ever occupy Washington. None of his leaders served. They chickened out, reneged on their very obligation as an American citizen. Gibby's heroes are the cowards of yesterday and the chickenhawks of today. No substance, no morals, no values and no spine.

So why is Gibby so irrational? Is it dementia? Effects of prior drug abuse?? Or the effects of current drug abuse?? Let's hypothesize.
Gibby won't admit to prior drug abuse so, is his dementia drug and alcohol related? We know Georgie Bush's is probably related. Hell, Georgie has a hard time forming a sentence without the aid of radio receivers in his ears. But what about the Gibbster?

Gibby has a wife that is 10 years younger than him, he has yet to present legislation to ban sex toys from Nevada as the republicans did in Alabama.
Gibby's problem might be drug related. I say it probably is. He is in the downhill slide stage of his life. He has never created a significant wave and his irrational behavior and comments only make him viewed more like the clown that he is. But, when certain chemicals are ingested, injected or otherwise absorbed in the body, strange things happen.

For example, sildenafil citrate can cause nasal congestion, headaches, blurred vision, diarrhea, dizziness and rashes. Now if Gibby were to be on a substance such as this it could explain his irrational behavior. Afterall, what could be worse than a plugged up nose and a throbbing headache while running to the john with blurred vision, a rash on your ass all, because you are too dizzy to wipe your ass after a bout with diarrhea?? I would be one irrational asshole myself.

What has cost 10 troop lives, 100 citizen lives and $1 billion? Answer: A lie.

As we are approaching the second anniversary of the War on Iraq, this is only the current measurable status of each lie the Bush Administration told to America to justify the War. The War will cost Americans and the World much more. And this War has and will cost in ways we cannot measure yet.

I am performing this analysis on President’s Day, a day celebrating two Presidents that are known for their honesty, Washington and Lincoln. It dismays and disappoints me to no end that our current President and his Administration seem to take great cynical pride in misleading American Citizens. It is complete opposite of these two great Presidents’ legacies.

This is the method used to calculate the cost of each lie told by the Bush Administration. In the buildup of the Iraq Invasion, principles of the Administration made 161 misleading statements. The Special Investigations Division of the U.S. House of Representatives compiled a database of statements about Iraq made by President George Bush, Vice President Dick Cheney, Secretary Don Rumsfeld, Secretary Colin Powell, and National Security Advisor Condi Rice. The misleading statements can be divided into four categories. The five officials made statements that claimed that Iraq posed an urgent threat; that exaggerated Iraq’s nuclear activities; that overstated Iraq’s chemical and biological weapon capabilities; and that misrepresented Iraq’s ties to al Taeda(1).

The database is summarized in the March 16, 2004, Iraq on the Record, The Bush Administration’s Public Statements on Iraq, United States House of Representatives, Committee on Government Reform, Minority Staff, Special Investigations Division(1).

Based on information that has been exposed since the March 16, 2004, Iraq on the Record report, many if not all of these “misleading statements” were known to be basically lies when made. Only a lawyer, a politician or an apologist would think otherwise.

If these principles would have told the truth that Iraq did not pose an urgent threat; that Iraq nuclear activities were nil; that the chemical and biological weapons were thought to be mostly destroyed; and Iraq did not really have ties to al Qaeda, then we would not have invaded Iraq. There would have been no public support for the attack on Iraq(2,3,4,5,6).

Just imagine if the principles would have been honest about and promoted the work of the UN Inspectors. The Inspectors’ work proved to be successful. The Inspectors had requested more time, if given more time there would have been no war(7).

The Iraq lies are not the typical “white lies” that attempt to avoid a politician’s embarrassing personal behavior. Instead these lies have great impact. As of February 21, 2005, there has been documented or estimated:
1654 Military Fatalities (coalition forces)(8),
10740 Wounded in Action(8),
16,000-18,000 Iraqi Civilians reported killed by military intervention(9), and
$155 billion estimated currently spent on the War on Iraq by United States(10).

Therefore analyzing this information each lie cost:
10 Military lives,
67 Wounded in Action,
100 Iraqi civilians killed, and
$1 billion spent(11).

These are powerful lies.

Some of our fellow citizens seem to think it is okay to mislead people if the ends justify the means. I believe the morality of this war can be debated forever. But here is the best article I have read related to the morality (or lack thereof) of this war.
