This brings back memories of the many Republicans that I know. My dad still thinks there are weapons of mass destruction, but my dad is a Republican, and we don't even get FOX NEWS with our cable package.

Whenever I take my car to get serviced at the dealership, they have the TV set to Fox News. I told them if they want my future business they need to turn the channel.

Doug what did they say?

You know what you should do. You should by a FOX BLOCKER and give it to them. It is a device that screws into the back of your TV, that blocks FNC.

Isn't that called the OFF switch? (ducking and grinning)

Acutally, I wonder how many Fox viewers believe that what happened at Abu Gareb (sp) was a few bad apples?

Dr. K...I'm sure most do believe that.

Lindy "be my bitch" Englund is pleading guilty today, that ain't gonna help.

It doesn't help that Fox news Channel is the channel of choice. Though that might sound like a quip, but its the truth. So both the people and the government are stupid.

Many people I know who watch FOX news will call all other news programs liars.

Sad isn't it.

I meant the channel of choice in the White House

I personally don't watch any particular news channel, it's just whatever seems to catch my attention... but if FOX is so wrong all the time, then why does it get such high ratings?

Data from Nielsen for the year of 2004:
Primetime: FNC: 1,668,000 / CNN: 855,000 / MSNBC: 374,000 / CNBC: 161,000 / HLN: 212,000

Total Day: FNC: 914,000 / CNN: 480,000 / MSNBC: 247,000 / CNBC: 146,000 / Headline News: 201,000

11 of the top 12 programs on cable news were broadcast on Fox News in 2004, according to Nielsen ratings data. O'Reilly, H&C, The Fox Report, On The Record and Special Report claim the top five spots, followed by CNN's Larry King Live.

Maybe people like wrong news or something?

BTW, for sheer courtesy sake, can you cite the source of the poll or it's data?

At 5/04/2005 5:59 PM , Blogger ProgressivePatriot said...

Jesus christ Righton.....the source is right on the poll.

More people have dumbed down....they wouldn't know news if it bit them on the ass.
I want to see what is going on in Iraq...the guts of kids smeared on the streets, heads getting sewed shut after marines crash a fucking pop bottle over their know....real news, not this pacifistic shit to keep people stoopid.

So, I will continue to get news from the source and in real-time...something that the pigs here would never dare broadcast.

Myself and many of the readers here, RightOn, refused to be owned.

I see the words on the poll, what I was asking for was a link to data or something of the sort... you know, anyone can put text on an image, since I viewed the source of the image and found no raw data.

As for the "kids smeared in the streets", I'm pretty sure you would like to see that, since, judging by your past posts and comments since the beginning of this blog, you seem to be a very violent person who feeds off the suffering of others.

As I mentioned earlier, I don't watch any, one network. I get most of my news on the internet from various sources, with various political aspects.

I highly doubt "real news" would have EVER worked, now or in the past.

As far as 'news sources' I'm assuming that you mean Michael Moore, Air America Radio, and all the other liberal news sites in the sidebar, are "real news".

I don't need to modify polls. That is what the right-wing does.

You know nothing of me James. I want the mainstream media to run the images of what I can see everyday....I want the jesus loving, child-molesting right-wingers to see what they really support.

But, the regime will protect them from that because, the regime wants thier base to continue to be stoopid....and it's working.

Hate to jump in late on a thread, but I wanted to point out that Fox News Viewers (and this is just an observation) tend to believe Fox is the only source they can trust. Meanwhile, there is everyone else, like myself, who tend to surf between every number on the dial but Fox News.

I generally imagine avid Fox-nuts like some crazed, cultic tribe that are as loyal to their news outlet as they claim to be patriotic to their country. We, on the other hand, do not have that baby-mother relationship with our news sources.

We weened ourselves off that one titty long ago and have since set to wandering about, landing wherever the milk is the sweetest.

So, in that respect, I would point out that (going just by Right On's #'s) Fox day & night fars shy of the others he listed, combined. That is Fox= 2,582,000 vs everybody else= 2,676,000. Not a wash by any means, but in G.W. terms, that's a mandate.
