Living Will

Living Will

I,________________________(fill in the blank), being of sound mind and
body, do not wish to be kept alive indefinitely by artificial means.
Under no circumstances should my fate be put in the hands of peckerwood
politicians who couldn't pass ninth-grade biology if their lives
depended on it. If a reasonable amount of time passes and I fail to sit
up and ask for a cold beer, it should be presumed that I won't ever get
better. When such a determination is reached, I hereby instruct my
spouse, children and attending physicians to pull the plug, reel in the
tubes and call it a day.

Under no circumstances shall the members of the legislature enact a
special law to keep me on life-support machinery. It is my wish that
these boneheads mind their own damn business, and pay attention to the
health, education and future of the millions of Americans who aren't in
a permanent coma.

Under no circumstances shall any politicians butt into this case. I
don't care how many fundamentalist votes they're trying to scrounge for
their run for the presidency in 2008, it is my wish that they play
politics with someone else's life and leave me alone to die in peace.

I couldn't care less if a hundred religious zealots send e-mails to
legislators in which they pretend to care about me. I don't know these
people, and I certainly haven't authorized them to preach and crusade on
my behalf. They should mind their own business, too.

If any of my family goes against my wishes and turns my case into a
political cause, I hereby promise to come back from the grave and make
his or her existence a living hell.

The maturity level of this 'blog' drops lower and lower each day. I think it's kind of funny that you write a "living will" but cannot find a way to leave out your best weapon, name calling.

Name calling is a weapon of a weak mind, it is used by children who have not matured enough to engage in a reasonable exchange of ideas and couterpoints.

Day after day, you post information that, by itself would be interesting. But rather than leave it at it's base, you choose to pontificate in a most immature manner. You may be an angry person, but you've proven your worth to society by chosing the weapon of an Elementary Student.

Grow up, please.

But righton......no one cares what you think.

Now go back to your righty friends and do what you do best....molest little kids.

LOL. I like this one... kinda. Atleast you didn't put Republicans, and it could very well put put up against Democrats too. Lets see... lets go down the checklist provided...

Peckerwood Politicians... yup
Can't pass 9th Grade Biology... yup
Actions done to sway votes... yup

But what I see that's most interesting is your disregard for other people's emotions that could very well be true. Did your Dad or your Dad's friend tell you that he cared for you right before he molested you or something? Jeez, have a heart!

Thank you so much for proving my point from my first comment.

Something never developed beyond the 5th grade and for that I pity you. For someone who claims to be so superior to those on the right, you have a very hard time formulating an argument without behaving like a child.

I know YOU don't care what I think, but it doesn't bother me one bit.

Sorry Warrior,

My dad was a liberal Democrat....the molesters you seek are in the right wing...lots of them.

And for people who don't have reading comprehension....this 'will' was not written by me. A buddy of mine wrote it.

Righton...6th grade was the hardest 5 years of my life but, it helped to better prepare me for the 3 Bachelors and 1 Master's degree that I hold.
When you graduate from high school...give me a holler, I know of several great universities.

Now both of you get back to recess.

Been out of High School for quite a while and I've been to College as well.

Get over yourself.

BTW, what kind of degree do you need to play with steel, it's really not that hard to work with.

Nice living will! I thought it was funny... very enjoyable. By the way, who is this right on guy? Wow... really annoying.

I guess it is annoying to point out that 95% of Robin's posts are nothing but childish name calling. Nothing is more annoying than the truth.

Just look around and you'll see that this 'so called' educated person cannot write 5 sentences without resorting to childish bickering.

Present your arguments and talking points in a mature, well presented professional manner and maybe you'd get through to people that don't already think like a Liberal.

Hey Justin,

Righton is one of our owned wingerbots...can't get enough of us but likes to bitch...you know how the confused rightys are.....avoid and deny the issues at all costs, they might have to face up to the fact they are wrong.

LOL@ Progressive Patriots first response to Right On!

Right On! and Warrior, I would like to inform of a little something called satire, see that is what the post is.

Right On! and Warrior you are both hypocritical. You accuse Progressive of name calling and being of low morale, but yet, you insult progressive patriot, and make the same kinds of remarks you are shunning.

You (Warrior and Right On!) both hold the Universal Republican Attitude: 'We can do it to you, but you can't do it to us.'

Well, Right On! working with steel is a hard job, but you would not know that, because it is a real job that requires manual labor.

Also just because you went to College does not make you any "wiser." Look at our President, and the rest of the Republican Party. All college educated, but dumb as dirt.

I was simply replying to PP's reference to his paper education. I know books aren't what make you smart, and so should he, but that doesn't seem to be the case since all he does in reponse is to wave credentials at me.

As for the jab about manual labor, I know what manual labor is, just because you don't share a political affiliation with me, doesn't make me any less of a working person. I started my first job as a Construction worker in Southern Texas, I know what work is. I'm also a metalsmith and a jewler so I know how to use metal.

Take yourself down a notch, I know it's hard to, being an elitist and all but if you don't put yourself up on such a high pedestal, you won't have very far to fall when you do.

Sam, at which time, anywhere on this blog, did I name myself as a Republican? Just because I point out your faults and say "have a heart" it automatically makes me one? If you read my views on news channels, you see that I don't favor any, because they all feed you political bullshit. But I guess being labeled a Republican isn't all that bad, from what I see they allow their heart to influence decisions and not the masses.

Warrior.....your thinking from the heart just proved you know nothing of Democracy.

Democracy is all about the masses..."For the people by the people"....does that ring a bell??

I think someone already tagged this one... this country is not a Democracy, it's a balance between a Republic and a Democracy. Democracy... Majority rules... I've heard of other countries that have had something like that, and it's quite interesting that all their leaders were branded tyrants, or insane.

And yes, I know I double posted. I'm leaving it here so you guys don't fall down the slippery slope of branding me something I'm not by assuming that I deleted the post b/c I was a coward.

It's been done before, and thus is the reason.

I love how Righton whines about your alleged name calling, yet is even more childish himself. Typical Republican flinging accusations at others while doing it himself.

hhhmmmm....Canada, France, England, Ireland, Australia and Portugal all seem to be doing just fine...so where are you talking about???

by the way, i think it's hilarious that the right has now stared calling Libs "elitists" (righton)- most Libs I know are part of the hard-working middle-class - some of them still stuggling to pay off their student loans and other debts. How come the richest 1% of the nation support the Republican party? Sounds kinda fishy, don't you think?

At 4/10/2005 3:08 PM , Blogger JonStewart_is_a_god said...

Hmmm....I don't think it's a democracy when 3 people from the same family have managed to run a state/country. That cannot be democracy when out of 300 million people those were the best leaders you had
