Hi Gretchen,
The talking points of the right are, in many ways, the reason America is dumbing down. No longer do people feel the need to look in depth at an issue and this also may be why conservatives are so adamantly anti-intellectual.
Bush is a poster child for everything not intellectual.
Who needs to look deep into the issues? I have to be a good dad and take the SUV to all my kids various practices and groups. I have to earn enough money so I can get all this stuff that I see on the TV machine.
