Loyalists and the First Point of Fascism: Nationalism

During the American Revolution of the late 1700's America was divided into three equal and distinct groups. About one third were the Loyalists who, by definition, supported King George III of England. Although the division today may not be equally divided three ways, we can, view the followers of the occupiers of the American government we have today as Loyalists.

Loyalists will support and follow their King to the ends of the earth. They support the corruption, costs and loss of freedoms that come with their King. In the days of old the Loyalists tended to be involved in trade and professional occupations and held large amounts of real estate assests. The Loyalists strength tended to be in the southern states, i.e., the Carolinas and Georgia. Today, though, these attributes encompass a wider area but, the deep divisions of long ago persist today.

For this article (and the 13 subsequent articles on fascism) the term Loyalist will refer to the blind followers and supporters of the appointed (I will continue to use the term appointed as there remains issues about the 2000 and 2004 elections that are unresolved concerning the presidency) tyrant name George W. Bush. Loyalists were the redcoats in 1770's. Today, they are, as in the 1770's, traitors, loyal to failed policy and supportive of the dismantling of American foundations.

Loyalists, usually republicans and conservatives, are nationalistic in that, they tend to use patriotic terms and slogans that are antonymous to their intentions. For example, The Patriot Act has an antonymous meaning to it's actual effect on society. It's effects are loyalist in nature and unpatriotic relative to American history.

Terms such as liberty and freedom are used ad nauseum to put forth an appearance of positive thought but, while covering corruption and untruths. For example, the slogan, "democracy is on the march" is used to justify democide and occupation of sovereign nations while, having nothing to do with democracy. If people around the world view the occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan as democratic then, democracy will fail. Democracy is not on the march but, imperialism is.

Many right-wing sites and titles exploit the term 'patriot' to apply some sort of worth to their failed cause and ideologue. Patriots are modern day rebels associated with the resistance to the occupation of America by appointed tyrants and the imperialistic assault on nations of the world. In no way can the term patriot be associated with the republican or conservative ideals that have, and continue, to assault American and world values, murder scores of people, use militaries to further corporate interests and dismantle historical American foundations.

The word 'patriot', in no way, is symbiotic with the loyalist and nationalistic terrorists occupying America today.

Bill Frist: A Walking, Talking, Eating and Breathing Parasite

There is a problem in America today and it comes in the form of an ignorant republican. No surprise here....republicans are ignorant. Period.

It seems Frist will go to any length to install more criminal members of the republican party into positions they don't qualify for.....for many reasons. Hell, Frist himself is qualified for little less than tearing down American foundations.

Frist wants John Bolton in the UN so bad, he probably strokes his joke to Bolton's pictures (or maybe Bolton himself), that he is considering by-passing the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. Process means nothing to Frist. Sure...we are going to hear the right-wing talking points. The talking points aimed at the ignorant, the Fox News watcher and the NASCAR dads. Rest assured; the UN is far better off without Bolton than it would be with him crawling the halls terrorizing people that work there.

Process. A novel idea to most but, to Frist it is a roadblock. Take Terri Schiavo for example. Frist is a miracle worker...no kidding. He can overrule years of other doctors observations and diagnose disease on a video tape. Now that is miraculous!! It is miraculous that a so-called heart surgeon would ruin any credibility he might have making such an asinine assertion. Frist's diagnosis of Mrs. Schiavo was akin to a proctologist leading a brain surgery.

Then there is the "nuclear" option of doing away with the Senate filibuster. What we have here is a huge example of republican hypocrisy and again, ignorance. The filibuster was over-used in the 90's while Clinton was President by the republicans but, we don't hear mention of that now, do we? Of course not. Let's hope Frist keeps pushing this agenda....the majority of Americans oppose it and it is another nail in the coffin of the republican regime.

So, is the filibuster and Schiavo case related?? Sure it is. Frist and the rest of the criminals in Washington went so far as to stop calling judges 'liberal' to calling them 'activist' judges when a conservative judge ruled against them in the Schiavo case. And Frist will deny and lie through his teeth and say there is no relation between the two cases.

Good news , though. Americans are getting fed up with the republican crime machine and with a renewed spirit is the Democratic Party, the republicans are starting to back away from issues that form the foundation of American government.

I will leave you with this quote from James Madison, one of America's founding liberal fathers,

"Knowledge will forever govern ignorance, and a people who mean to be their own governors must arm themselves with the power which knowledge gives."

Makes one wonder if he knew of the impending right-wing threat?

to Admit Horizon Retirees in UMWA 1993 Benefit Plan

United Mine Workers of America (UMWA) President Cecil Roberts hailed today's
vote by the UMWA 1993 Benefit Plan trustees to admit retirees from Horizon
Natural Resources Inc. and their dependants to the 1993 Benefit Plan, which
restored full health care benefits to nearly 2,500 people.

"This victory is the first ray of light these good people have seen in
months," Roberts said. "Their lives have been needlessly and unjustly turned
upside down since last August, and this is a first step towards restoring to
them the health care benefits that are rightfully theirs."

In August, 2004, a U.S. Bankruptcy Court judge terminated the health care
benefits for about 5,000 active UMWA members, retirees and dependents at
Horizon as part of his ruling that liquidated the company's assets. Some
2,500 retirees and dependents were eligible for coverage through the UMWA
1992 Benefit Fund. Health care benefits for the remaining 2,500 have been
paid directly by the UMWA for the last six months, however those benefits
will expire on April 30.

"Much more needs to be done before benefits are assured for the long term,"
Roberts said. "The 1993 Fund is already in a precarious financial position,
and adding these beneficiaries will only add to the 1993 Fund's problems.
Without quick action by CongressCthis yearCthe 1993 Fund will be in serious
financial difficulty."

"Congress has the ability to help these people, and there are several ways
it can do it," Roberts said. "Which ever way it chooses, Congress must act
quickly to do the right thingCthe responsible thingCand give these retirees
and their dependents the peace of mind they've earned."

"These people worked hard for 30, 40, even 50 years in the mines, putting
their lives on the line every day to provide our nation with the energy it
needs, and always believing the promise they were given by Harry Truman in
1946--reaffirmed by two United States presidents and two acts of
Congress--that they would have health care when they retired," Roberts said.
"A single bankruptcy judge ripped that promise away. It's incumbent on
Congress to live up to America's promise to these miners, and do it now."

Unlike the CBF and 1992 Benefit Fund, which are included in the Coal Act and
have mandatory employer contribution rates set by congressional statute, the
1993 Fund is solely funded by employer contributions negotiated in
collective bargaining agreements. Current contribution rates are inadequate
to cover benefits due to the skyrocketing cost of health care. The current
contract does not expire until December, 2006.

Apparently, he was irate at us because Americans are sending Email to him and the commissioners complaining about the fact that James A. Baker, III is co-chairing the Commission. Baker, of course, is the long-time Bush Family loyalist and Bush/Cheney trial law attorney who architected the strategy to ensure that Americans' votes would not be counted in the 2000 election.

Pastor made it clear that he felt those Emails, sent by individual American citizens to the commission, actually constituted "harassment" and he charged that the thousands of Emails that he and the commissioners were receiving was, in actuality, being sent by "about 6 or 7 people"!

CU students weigh in on pot penalties

BOULDER - University of Colorado students have overwhelmingly passed a referendum aimed at making penalties for students caught with marijuana no worse than those for students caught with alcohol.

In all, 3,926 students voted in favor of the measure in polling last week, and 1,866 voted against it. The referendum also asked university officials to conduct a study determining whether such a change could lead to fewer alcohol-related problems, such as sexual assaults.

While students age 21 and over can legally drink alcohol, they can face campus sanctions if caught smoking marijuana.

In 2004, CU police made 126 arrests related to driving under the influence of alcohol and another 304 arrests or citations for other alcohol infractions, mostly involving underage drinking, Lt. Tim McGraw said.

During the same year, police issued 42 tickets for marijuana possession, McGraw said.

MONTROSE - Attention, Democrats: Don't rest on your laurels. Instead, serve constituents well enough to be rewarded with yet another election victory at the statehouse - and beyond.

So said party leaders and guests time and again during the Montrose County Democratic Party's Jefferson-Jackson dinner, held Saturday at the Elks Lodge.

The idea of Democrats, held to be "liberal," taking control of the Legislature in a state deemed "conservative," shouldn't be shocking, Rep. Bernie Buescher of Grand Junction told dinner attendees to often raucous applause.

Numbers are also up in local communities, with thrice the number of Democrats appearing at Delta party functions than in the past and an increase of nearly 300 at a gathering in Grand Junction.

"We're starting to build this party," Buescher said. "I was elected from one of those districts they say a Democrat can't win in. Now, we have 35 members of the Colorado State House and the Republicans have 30.

"We're learning how to be the majority. I can tell you, the Republicans are struggling with learning how to be the minority, but we're going to keep teaching them."

Pat Waak, state party chair, urged Democrats to keep their eyes on the prize, through grassroots efforts and communication about healthcare, education and jobs.

"Those are the things that affect people's lives," Waak said, though she acknowledged there were other issues that are important.

"We need to remind people at the local level that we share the same values. Who is it who's going to make sure that healthcare is out there for them? Who is it who's going to make sure kids get a good education? Who is it who's going to see that there's a job and a meaningful wage and a dignity in earning it?"

Waak's answer: "Not the Republican party."

No need to go into the science of life with these wackos....they have condensed smoke clogging the veins of critical thought. Side-tracked by the neighbors television viewing habits and their kinky sexual positions, the fundies fail at self-interpretation believing their existence is superior to any who question their beliefs.

Now in power, we have people with severely warped theological views and they intend to see that all are converted. A dangerous proposition at best because, there exists in the world people with a much higher intellect than these fundamentalists. Even some of the religious are getting fed up which makes one wonder if we could see a war of religious thought in this country. The bad part of that would be that some of us will be forced to get involved even though, we are not concerned about the ideas but, only of religion's acceptable place in public institutions.

But, march on anyway, Frist. Your meddling in private lives, inferring to some god in government affairs and your outright ignorance is doing America a larger favor in the long run...I only hope some of us don't have to hold our noses much longer.

Privacy, Cowardice and Quacks: Conservative Ideals

It seems the chimp feels his privacy is of more concern than anyone else's. Being the most hated and hopefully, hunted man in the world, his privacy is of no concern to those affected by his corrupt actions. Is his call for privacy a sign of cowardice?? I would say so. I would hope that the thoughts he is having of how many and where the crosshairs of retribution are aimed on his body makes him sleepless every single night. He deserves it and, hopefully, it will afflict the remainder of his life.

In another statement, the chimpman speaks out against pre-packaged news. The Senate voted that taxpayer funds could not be used to create the right-wing fiction broadcast on American mainstream media. The republicans are going to bitch about this as, it will raise their propaganda expenses enormously. So, be aware of other right-wing scams hidden in House Bills to be issued to help subsidize the further dumbing down of conservative religious whakcos.

Another amusing put-on by the chimpman was his feigning surprise at the passport requirement for American's re-entering the US from Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean. Does he really believe people are going to buy his act?? Hey chimpman...it's your criminal enterprise and you best be getting a handle on it. There are spooks in your regime that may want you out of the way (a person can hope, right??).

The filibuster is again being pushed by America's top quack, that phoney so-called doctor from Tennessee, Bill Frist. Nothing about America's heritage is sacred to these idiots called republicans. Frist is receiving help from Ed Gillespie, another inbred from the republican party, to spew forth propaganda talking points and other bullshit common to the right-wing as well as, speeches and sales pitches, probably, similar to the chimpman's failed attempt at Social Security scams.

Weekend Beer Run (and some political info gathering)

I made my seasonal beer run to Bozeman, Montana this weekend. I needed to restock on some of my favorites, Powder Hound, Moose Drool and the new one, Big Sky Crystal Ale from Big Sky Brewery. I also wanted to check out the political scene in a 'red' state and how some folks felt about the chimpman and his lying band of criminals. I was surprised to say the least.

It seems many of the righties I talked to have abandoned the criminal regime and some even changed their political party. But, most surprising was more of those that changed their party affiliation did so because of the Governor, Brian Schweitzer. The folks that changed said they researched the Democratic Party and, without a bunch of spin from friends and family changed because of what the Democratic Party stood for. Some didn't agree with the pro-life issue but, were able to see that it is not a pro-abortion issue that the asshats spin.

Another was gun control. I talked with one ol' boy who had voted repig for years and always was convinced that the left was after his guns. He told me, "I bought this computer and learned how to use it and ya know what, Rob....I couldn't find a god-damned thing that said the Democrats were after my guns. Now, that pisses me off...those lyin' bastards had me convinced you guys were after my guns." I was overjoyed by his term, "lying bastards"...I'm talking about a man in his 60's and a rancher I have known all my life.

I even talked with an outfitter friend of mine who was irate over some attempt to raise licensing fees. Not to sure what that was about but he did blame it on the right-wingers. Anyway, the righties are getting a taste of the fraud, corruption and outright lies that the party they supported are using for political hijacking. And what was the most enjoyable to me was watching these people tell it to me....and they hate admitting they were wrong all along.

Unlike Colorado, where I live, I didn't see one chimp sticker on any vehicle. My truck is plastered with offending stickers and I didn't get the finger one time, unlike in Colorado. I don't know if this points to a significant shift, of any kind, but it does show a changing attitude, in my opinion.

Another observation I made was satellite radio antennas on vehicles. Ever since I installed my Sirius radio I seem to be more in tune with who is and is not listening to satellite radio. I noticed satellite radio antennas in Wyoming and Montana more frequently than I do in Colorado. It would seem that the numbers would favor Colorado, especially around Denver due to volume, but it doesn't on my informal statistical analysis.

I did beat the blizzard home with my 25 cases of beer, learned some things that point positive for America and laughed all the way home remembering the looks on some faces that are always prideful but, in this case, having to admit that they were wrong and that Democrats rock!!

Deep down, I believe Montana is actually blue.

Community Expresses Outrage of Economic Development Director’s Rejection of
500 Union Jobs
Decision Costs Region Millions

Members of the Madisonville community met Tuesday night to discuss
Madisonville-Hopkins County Economic Development Corporation Executive
Director Danny Koon’s decision to turn away a company that would have
supplied 500 new jobs to the region because the business’s employees were
represented by a union.

Over 100 people packed the Holy Temple Church in Christ showing their
disapproval of Koon’s decision that was reported by the Henderson Gleaner in
October 2004. The article quotes Koon as boasting that he turned away a
company that had the potential of supplying 500 new jobs to the region
because the business had a contract with the United Auto Workers. According
to the article, Koon stated that the Madisonville-Hopkins County Economic
Development Corporation does not, “look at any companies that have
representation with a bargaining group.”

"Koon's decision hurts us all, especially our children,” said Madisonville
resident Rodney Miller. “Union jobs are what this community needs. Our
children shouldn't have to work low paying jobs and shouldn't have to move
away to find work. Our kids deserve good paying jobs like the ones Koon's
turned away.”

Pastor Raymond Marion of the Holy Temple Church of God in Christ and NAACP
Madisonville chapter president presented data that detailed just how much
Koon’s decision cost the Madisonville region.

“Five hundred jobs at $15 per hour represents $15.6 million dollars in wages
and each industrial job anchors 4.2 other jobs in the economy,” said Bishop
Marion. “That equals 2,100 jobs at $10 an hour each which equals $43.7
million dollars. When you calculate in fringe benefits at 25% for the $15
per hour it raises the wage and benefits package to $20 per hour” Marion
said.

Marion’s calculations come from the research department of the United Auto
Workers and the Economic Policy Institute. In addition to higher wages,
studies demonstrate that unions have been able to preserve the most
important benefits for their members, while non-union workers have not been
able to withstand the huge employer push to cut coverage and shift costs on
to employees. Union workers are far more likely to be covered by health care
and retirement benefits than nonunion workers and far less likely to be
forced to contribute to the cost of those plans.

“All of this represents $59.3 million annually that could have come in to
the Madisonville community, as well as 2,600 jobs,” Marion said. “Koon’s
decision cost the community a lot economically - $59.3 million per year to
be exact.”

Hopkins County Magistrate Coletta Wheeler assured the community that Koon’s
actions did not reflect all of Madisonville and Hopkins County officials and
deeply regrets Koon’s remarks.

"I have the highest respect for unions. Without the right to organize where
would we be?" Wheeler said.

This bill requires them to pay their fair share of health insurance and now, in Maryland, they will have to pay for the subsidies that their employees milk off the system. The difference of what they pay and what the law requires will raise the cost of doing business for Walmart by not allowing them to force employees into welfare programs.

Walmart says it will cost the state jobs but, jobs requiring tax-payer subsidies are hardly worthwhile.

Another surprise for you Walmart.....I have this same bill being worked over in the Colorado State Senate. We will be the next state to legislate this law.

I couldn't care less if a hundred religious zealots send e-mails to
legislators in which they pretend to care about me. I don't know these
people, and I certainly haven't authorized them to preach and crusade on
my behalf. They should mind their own business, too.

If any of my family goes against my wishes and turns my case into a
political cause, I hereby promise to come back from the grave and make
his or her existence a living hell.

Owens vetoes emergency contraception bill

In Colorado, we have a scumbag governor that just vetoed an emergency contraception bill that would have benefit rape victims. This from an adulterer who espouses conservative values, has a baby with a mistress hidden in Texas and can't pass the 10th grade CSAP test that all kids in Colorado must take.

The Republican is a Roman Catholic who has campaigned on conservative values. Owens says the bill would violate fundamental constitutional principles by forcing a hospital founded on religious principles to say things to patients that it explicitly doesn't believe to be morally or ethically valid. Certainly nothing new, but we seem to have run through a spate of courthouse violence recently that's been on the news and I wonder whether there may be some connection between the perception in some quarters on some occasions where judges are making political decisions yet are unaccountable to the public, that it builds up and builds up and builds up to the point where some people engage in - engage in violence." Ok Cornyn...I'd buy your argument if you would include right-wing neo-cons and republicans. Afterall, they are the group that spreads death, misery and ruin throughout the world.

Also, in Florida, another corrupt bastion of the right-wing, a new bill passed that essentially allows people to shoot first and ask questions later....without the fear of prosecution. So, if you feel at all threatened by someone....kill them and go on your merry way.

The last thing we need in America is to tell a bunch of lunatics that are already violent and corrupt that, it is alright to go out and blast judges and anyone else you feel threatened by. But, you'll never see me say there is a smart one in the bunch.

The Fools Play

The last couple of weeks have been crazy....crazy in the way that we all got a first hand look at the tactics of the criminals in the republican party.

First, we almost got to see a showdown between local and State police in Florida. The Governor, Jebbie Bush, called out his forces to intervene in the family matter of Terri Schiavo. The local police basically said, "we dare you" to the State police. Jebbie's forces stood down. The criminal scum in Washington including Jebbies bro, the chimpman, got involved. The reasons they got involved are all to clear to those who are informed...to save another criminal conspirator: Tom Delay.

A new trend started over the Schiavo case: Video diagnosis of disease. Yep, the Senate Majority leader, a quack named Bill Frist is going to start the trend of diagnosing disease and other medical conditions by viewing videotape. Idiots like Frist need a safe place to do their work and, what a better place than in an easy chair from some home office. He won't have to worry about protesters or other patriotic people who view his existence as a threat to American society. His anti-American stance via the destruction of Senate rules and fair rules of engagement make his existence less than microbial life in a cesspool.

Back to Delay. Now, here is the filthiest of all scum, next to george bush. This idiot references religious rhetoric that is less than believable, at least, to those who have a free mind. According to Delay, some god delivers people in vegetative states to him so that, the republican party can do their ritualistic dances and propagandized orgies over the unfortunate victims hollowed shells. The question that should be asked is whether or not these rituals are just merely practice for child molestation parties or do they have some other important function?

The spin from the righties now is 'activist' judges. Note the term activist. The judge that ruled in the Schiavo case is a hard-line conservative and that really pisses the pigs off. They can't drum on the 'liberal' mantra now. Funny when the ideas they embrace backfire on them. It's good for them, though. Maybe they will get the hint that conservativism is a failure and has been for centuries but, I doubt it. Put all their brains together and they still can't muster up enough air for a good fart.

Now, that's conservativism.

Pope John Paul II

Probably within the hour of having the last rites Thursday night, Pope John Paul II passed away but his body was maintained artificially. The internets are spinning with propaganda and the righties are clamoring to make this a political situation, as always, we will ignore that.
